carnoise.wtf helps drivers tell the difference between common car noises- from brake squeals and fan belt slips, to suspension knocks and wheel bearing hums- and also confirm when no serious issues are present, for peace of mind when it's warranted.

It isn't a diagnostic tool like a compression tester, vacuum gauge, or OBD-II reader. It's a triage tool- meant for quick checks that flag whether a vehicle or its subsystems have audible problems worth a closer look.

Developed by a team of working mechanics, it's still a work in progress and improving every year- but many drivers already find it useful today, and we hope you'll be one of them.
